Smite and Arena tips

Ok, so I’m not the best player in the world, but in the world of Arena PvP, there are a few basic rules and etiquette that I noticed. Firstly the rules of winning:

Winning tips:

  • NO suicides
  • This means 1v5 stupid decisions

  • NO crazy “I want that kill”.
  • This blindsides you to the fact that “the enemy is so low.. one hit.. just one hit.. just… *BAM* you’re dead!”. Falls under the above rule. No suicides!

  • STICK TOGETHER
  • Play to the strengths of the team. Most Gods have effects that help each other WHILE IN RANGE. Let me put it in a different way:

  • Aphrodite can only heal one person at a time. People on left, right and middle leaves her unable to do her job
  • -Similarly tanks. They can’t tank for 2 places at the same time.
  • Tanks, stop going solo thinking you’re invul – there’s squishies behind 🙂
  • Ettiquette: Never tell someone to UNINSTALL
  • Really that just makes you look like a complete bully and lack sportsmanship. Everyone was a noob once. I’m still a noob on some of the Gods I don’t usually play. Not everyone’s a born pro. 🙂
Yes, I get at least once every couple of days.

  • House/Team Rules: Give blue to support or really mana hungry Gods
  • In my personal order, Aphrodite gets first dibs, followed by other healers (which can function quite ok with low mana early).
Next in rank is actually mages and hunters – though for simplicity – most people just give to mages. I personally prefer to give to:
+ Artemis (quite useless without it early)
    + Mages
    + Hunters
    – Scylla (she has mana regen from start!)
    Guardians
    Assassins
    * The 3:2 rule on physical and magical composition.
    I’ve seen 4:1 work, but rarely 5:0.

  • Double roles are OK
  • 2 healers, 2 tanks, 2 hunters, they’re all good. Only a trouble when you do something like 5 assassins (fail pending)

  • TEAMWORK : OP
  • Yeah.. without that you guys get picked off one by one. Combo the ults. Yes, common sense!
