Hair: Unknown/None. It’s not known if she has any hair, but by the shape
of the her headpiece, it would suggest she was bald.

Details/Powers:
Syren, as her namesake suggests, is a sound(sonic)-based villainness.
She’s exhibited powers of persuasion through use of her voice (as per
Oddessey) as well as that of a concussive (and beyond) strength vocal attack
on her foes. The lure/persuasive voices have been known to persist for a
period after she loses vocal contact with the subject, somewhat akin to
that of hypnosis. All subjects had been de-hypnotised and it is still unknown
if it is permanent, if not caught. Her vocal attack, from limited analysis
is strong enough to shatter glass, and knock out most humans. The emission
levels look strong enough to kill normal civilians, perhaps some lower powered
heroines, but as of the current time, there has been no reports of Syren
causing any fatalities. The heroines that have withsthood the initial
sound-shock would still be subject to disorientation and the stunning
effect of the sonic burst. This sonic blast is believed to eminate from
her mouth (logically), and so far analysis suggests that this is true.
There is some minor discrepencies in the readings from our resident expert
on magics, suggesting that the screams are not purely vocal, and is
generated within Syren’s mind – the mouth was merely a focus. It has been
known that Syren’s scream can penetrate the use of normal earplugs,
rendering standard issue anti-vocal kits useless. There is however proof
that normal wax would absorb her vocal assaults. Perhaps there was wisdom
yet, in Oddeseus when he ordered his men to plug their ears with wax!

History/Briefing:
Syren was virtually unknown to the world until recently. Her sudden
appearance in the metropolis showed total disregard for the local authority
and law. Her real mission and affiliations are unknown. She is to be considered
extremely dangerous and police are adviced not to approach without the
Meta-human Task Force on hand.
There have been reports of a Syren-like figure being worshipped
as a local Goddess, whom would strike out against those that failed to
bring her offerings of jewels, gold, and other trinkets. The village
location, as pointed out by the witness does not exist, by records of the
Cyprian Goverment. Satelite images show a recent ruin upon where the location
specified. Intel on the area shows signs of mass genocide, most of the dead
seemed to be of western origin, not native to those part of Cyprus. A strange
blue stone can be seen on this image taken days before the incursion. The
same blue stone does not appear in the latter satelite images. Perhaps it
is a glitch, but radio scans from the previous days suggest that there HAD
been something there. This is only speculation that this Syren-like figure
is the same one as the one we saw today downtown.
